Tim Sisler
Principal & Founder, Resolve Management Advisors

Tim Sisler is Principal and Founder of Resolve Management Advisors, Inc. Tim has over 30 years experience as a CPA, CFO and COO serving in consulting, manufacturing, chemical processing, oil and gas, distribution and retail environments.

Tim began his career with Touché Ross (now Deloitte & Touché, LLC) in Northeast Ohio where he provided audit, financial reporting, tax and consulting services to various public and privately held client companies.  Tim’s industry focus included retail, distribution, manufacturing, service and real estate for more than seven years. Tim served as an Audit Manager where he was responsible for client service fulfillment, staff training and engagement management.

Tim served more than ten years as Manager and Advisor to Senior Executive Management at BP America (British Petroleum), the $30 billion U.S. subsidiary of the petroleum giant. Tim’s experience included roles in the operating business units as well as corporate headquarters. During his time at BP, Tim was involved in accounting for acquisitions and divestitures, adoption of critical U.S. GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and SEC compliance projects. In addition, he was responsible for developing significant accounting and control systems to identify foreign currency exposure and risk management, as well as reporting and control system integration, capital markets and structured financial transactions.

In addition, Tim served with a leading regional home furnishings retailer and design service provider for nearly 14 years in roles of increasing responsibility including Manager Business Planning, Treasurer/VP and General Manager. From 1997-2007 he served as the Chief Operating Officer where he was responsible for day to day operations, full P&L accountability and strategic direction for the company.

Education

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The University of Akron where he was a member of Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honorary Society, and the Varsity Track Team. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In addition, Tim completed senior management coursework at The University of Michigan and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Tim’s professional memberships include The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of The Institute of Management Consultants and The Hudson Community Chapel Men’s Fraternity.

Elaine Sisler
Principal & Founder, Resolve Management Advisors

Elaine Sisler is Principal and Founder of Resolve Management Advisors, Inc. Elaine has more than 22 years experience in executive search, recruiting, client management, human resource consulting, and accounting. Previously she served as a principal in the Cleveland office for Mercer HR Consulting, the world’s largest global human resource consulting firm. At Mercer, Elaine was responsible for developing new business at Fortune 500 client companies in Northeast Ohio. Her prior experience includes 8 years at Robert Half International, a $4 billion NYSE worldwide recruiting firm, where she was the Akron Area President, winning the prestigious Championship Club Leadership award.

Elaine also established the Cleveland office for Hudson, a $1.3 billion NASDAQ global talent management organization. In addition, Elaine held managerial accounting roles with Goodrich. Elaine’s list of clients includes The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, First Energy, Akron General Medical Center, Mercer HR Consulting, The Country Club, Brouse McDowell LPA, Abercrombie & Fitch, Jones Day LPA, Brush Engineered Materials, Mittal Steel and many others.

Education

Elaine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting, from The Ohio State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She also completed graduate studies at The University of Akron in Political Science and Law. Elaine was a National Merit Scholar and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business honor society.
